L’Etoile du Port – a beautiful Chambres d’hotes in the heart of the Charente Maritime

Located in the Medieval market town of Saint Jean D’Angely, L’Etoile du Port provides a memorable location for a brief rest on your travels, or for a longer visit exploring the Poitou Charente region.  Built in 1633 this former Cognac store sits on the banks of the tranquil Boutonne River and is only minutes’ walk from the bars, restaurants and shops in the centre of Saint Jean D’Angely.

From the moment you arrive at L’Etoile du Port you can enjoy the peace and comfort offered by this beautiful Chambres d’Hotes.  L’Etoile combines the character of original stone work, exposed beams, open fireplaces and chandeliers with the facilities you would expect in a Bed and Breakfast of this quality.  Enjoy large bedrooms with Egyptian cotton linen, with fabulous views and breakfast in the grand first floor salon on a selection of locally sourced and seasonal food.
